EmpiRx Health is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer.  In this critical role, you will utilize your security skills to maintain and enhance EmpiRx’s security controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of EmpiRx’s information assets. As a subject matter expert in security, you will be a consultant to the business and IT Teams.

What You'll Do:

As a Security Engineer, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and manage risk by educating staff on current cyber-attack tactics, techniques, and procedures while performing cyber analysis on security alerts and integrating indicators of compromise (IOCs) into sensors.
  • Manage regularly scheduled vulnerability scanning, penetration testing and remediation of identified issues.
  • Informed by the latest cyber threat landscape, proactively enhance, and implement controls to continuously strengthen EmpiRx’s security posture to maintain CIA.
  • Implement and maintain cyber security infrastructure, including IAM, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Network Perimeter solutions to support the cybersecurity strategy of the organization.
  • Working with application development to consult on best-practices regarding cybersecurity during development activities.
  • Work to identify and implement automation opportunities within our daily processes.
  • Respond to security events, working with our partners to identify, contain, and remediate and security incidents that may occur.
  • Manage the vulnerabilities in the environment through active scanning and remediation activities.
  • Develop and document SOPs around daily operational tasks.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and technology.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness by acting in a security consulting capacity to other teams in the organization.
  • Act Independently within your role with a high-level of integrity and ownership.
  • Provide direction and guidance on matters of security to other teams in the organization.

What You Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity role
  • Expertise and proficiency with tools like Azure AD, EDR, DLP, SSO, MFA, UEBA, SEIM, Office 365.
  • Expertise and proficiency in securing and managing cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
  • Working knowledge of common InfoSec standards: CIS, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA
  • Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements
  • CompTIA Security+ preferred
  • Azure or AWS security certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study, and maintaining proficiency in the technical information security domain.
